Ophthalmic Anthropometry for Dimension of Spectacle Frame for Korean Presbyopia

Abstract
Purpose: This study aimed to provide necessary data for the suitability of the Korean adult spectacle frames for the presbyopia and for the design of the spectacle frames appropriate for the facial shapes of the presbyopia by measuring the facial shapes of the presbyopia. Methods: Targeting 680 Koreans (244 men, 436 women) over the age of forty that do not have orbital diseases and ocular injuries, we took pictures of their front faces. And among them, targeting 131 people (60 men, 71 women), which are the necessary data for designing spectacle frames. Result: A necessary the frame design for facial features data and frames design data, there is a difference between the Korean presbyopia and adults of the spectacle frames data. Conclusion: As the results of this study, It is considered that since there is a difference between the spectacle frames in average of the Korean presbyopia and adults, there should be a separate standard for the spectacle frames for the Korean presbyopia based on this study`s results.
